Made for Australians
Back in the 1890’s, Leonard Chambers and William Thompson started a beekeeping supply business in Melbourne. Little would they know that their company would go on to change how Australian garden for well over a century.
In 1898 they launched Cyclone Fence & Gate Company to provide wire fencing for hives. By the 1920s, the company was manufacturing a range of innovative products in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Perth. Cyclone wire fencing and gates were prized by Australian farmers, bushies and graziers for their strength and by city dwellers for their innovative designs and styles.
Over the years Cyclone expanded into other product lines including shovels, axes, trowels, rakes, hoes, brooms, mattocks, forks and pruners. Many of our products are produced in Wonthaggi, Victoria. We believe in local craftsmanship and sourcing high quality materials, so we can achieve greater suitability in our production processes and secure great jobs for Australians.
